Consultation terms.

Updated: October 2026

These terms explain how the HRT Consulting immigration consultation works and what to expect from it. Please read them before you pay for your appointment. If anything is unclear, write to us before booking.

What the consultation is

It is a 60-minute video call (Google Meet) with the attorney herself, in English or Spanish. In that hour we review your situation and give you guidance on the immigration route that fits you best, the documents you need, approximate timelines and your next step. We do not meet in person.

Price and advance payment

The consultation costs USD 50 (United States dollars) and includes 60 minutes of video call. Payment is made in advance, online, through an outside payment provider, when you book your slot. No payment, no appointment: your slot is confirmed only once payment is received. Any bank fees or currency-conversion charges applied by your bank are your responsibility.

The consultation is the only service with a published price. If you need us to handle your application, our professional fees are quoted after the consultation, based on the route and your case, and agreed in writing. Official INM fees and other government costs are paid separately, directly to the authority.

Credit toward your case

If after the consultation you hire us to handle your application, the USD 50 you paid is credited toward the agreed amount. The credit applies once and only to the application arising from that consultation, within the period stated in the proposal we give you.

Rescheduling and cancellation

  • You can reschedule your appointment at no cost up to 24 hours before the scheduled time.
  • If you reschedule or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or you do not join the video call, the payment is not refundable.
  • If we are the ones who must change the appointment, we will offer a new time at no cost or, if it does not suit you, refund your payment.

What is and is not included

The consultation is initial legal guidance based on the information you give us. To make it useful, be clear and honest about your situation and keep your documents at hand.

The consultation is not an engagement to handle your application and does not by itself create a representation relationship before the INM or any other authority. That relationship begins only when you accept a service proposal in writing. The guidance depends on the facts you explain and on the rules in force on the consultation date, which can change.

No promise of outcome

Immigration decisions are made by the authority. We can advise you, prepare your case and defend you, but we do not promise an outcome or a decision date. Any timelines we mention are estimates.

Your data

We use your data as described in our privacy notice. What you discuss in the consultation is confidential.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States, even if you are located in another country. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Mexico City, unless the consumer-protection law that applies to you provides otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force when you book your appointment applies. Last updated: October 2026.
