Privacy notice.

Updated: October 2026

This notice explains how we handle your personal data when you visit this website, book a consultation or write to us. HRT Consulting operates from Mexico City, so Mexican law applies: specifically the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and its current regulations. This applies to you even if you live outside Mexico.

Who is responsible for your data

The party responsible for processing your personal data (the “controller”) is Hilda Ramírez Trujillo, which operates the brand HRT Consulting · Mexico Immigration Lawyers, located at Mexico City, Mexico.

For any privacy matter, write to hilda@hrtconsulting.com.mx. We do not receive clients in person: every consultation takes place by video call.

What personal data we collect

We collect only what we need to help you:

  • Identity and contact details: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country and city where you are, and preferred language.
  • Immigration and nationality details: your nationality, whether you already hold a Mexican visa or residency, the procedure you are interested in, and a description of your situation.
  • Payment details: consultation payments are handled by an outside payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Technical data: basic browsing information such as device type, browser and pages visited, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see below).

Sensitive personal data. Your immigration status, your nationality and, in some cases, information about health, family ties or legal history that you choose to share so we can assess your case may count as sensitive personal data under Mexican law. We handle it with stronger safeguards and only with your express consent, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form or by sharing it voluntarily during the consultation. We do not ask for sensitive data we do not need.

Why we use your data

Primary purposes (needed to provide the service):

  1. Handle your consultation request, confirm your appointment and send you the video call link.
  2. Process the consultation payment and, if you hire us, credit it toward your case.
  3. Assess your immigration situation and prepare your plan and document list.
  4. Reply to your messages, questions and contact requests.
  5. Meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

Secondary purposes (not required, and you can decline without affecting your service):

  1. Send you useful updates about immigration procedure changes or new guides.
  2. Improve the website and our services through aggregated usage statistics.
If you do not want your data used for secondary purposes, write to the contact address above, or tell us when you exercise your rights, and we will stop using it for those purposes.

Who receives your data

We do not sell or rent your personal data. To deliver the service we share it only with providers acting on our behalf:

  • Scheduling and booking provider.
  • Payment provider.
  • Video call provider (Google Meet).
  • Email and contact-form provider.
  • Website hosting provider.

Because these providers may be located outside Mexico, your data may be transferred to or stored in other countries, including your own or the United States. Beyond these, we share your data with authorities only when a law or a ruling requires it. Transfers needed to provide the service you asked for do not require additional consent under Mexican law; any other transfer will be disclosed to you and, where required, your consent will be requested.

If you hire us to handle an application, we will need to file your data and documents with Mexico’s National Migration Institute (INM) or other authorities. We do that only on your instruction and for that purpose.

Your ARCO rights

You have the right to Access your data and know how we use it, Rectify it if it is inaccurate, Cancel it when you believe it is no longer needed, and Object to its use for certain purposes. You may also withdraw the consent you gave us.

To exercise any of these rights, send a request to hilda@hrtconsulting.com.mx including: your full name and a way to reply, a copy of a valid official ID (or passport), a clear description of the right you want to exercise and the data it concerns, and any document that helps us locate your data. We will respond within the period set by law, counted from receipt of your complete request, and tell you whether it is granted and how it will be carried out. If you believe your right was not respected, you may go to the competent Mexican data protection authority.

How to limit the use or disclosure of your data

You can ask us to stop sending informational messages at any time, using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by writing to us. You can also sign up for any public exclusion registries available under the law. In your browser, you can block or delete cookies.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses technical cookies needed for it to work. Only if an analytics tool (such as Google Analytics 4) is configured will measurement cookies be loaded, which let us see in aggregate how the site is used, without identifying you by name. You can disable them in your browser settings. If analytics is not configured, these cookies are not loaded.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice because of legal changes, service changes or provider changes. We will post the updated version on this page with its date, and if the change is significant we will let you know through the contact details you gave us.
